One of my final photo shoots in Edmonton at the El Mirador -- there's always something appealing about a completely empty space and how the lack of distraction makes the eye focus on all the subtle nuances of light, line and tone.

I am pleased to advise you that you have been selected by the jury for the Juried Photography Exhibition scheduled to run from August 25 to October 02, 2011 in the Kaasa Gallery at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium located at 11455 – 87 Avenue, Edmonton. 

Visual Arts Alberta had over 66 Alberta photographers respond to this call with 327 images. 57 photographs were selected by 39 artists to be shown in the Kaasa Gallery in OPEN PHOTO 2011.   I am pleased to advise you that the jury selected the following image(s) from your submission:

Everytime I shoot babies or young children I have more and more respect for those who make a living from it.  Although this proved to be a great image, little Finn had begun teething just days before the shoot and we had to work hard to get him to smile.  But ... Mom always knows best.  Amanda pulled out her infamous tickle story and this was the result.

2011 Seattle Erotic Arts Festival

These are the five images I have submitted for the jury's consideration for inclusion in the 2011 Seattle Erotic Arts Festival exhibition. I have been fortunate enough to have been chosen to be a part of the 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009 Festivals and am hopeful that one of these photos will be selected as one of only 300 pieces of art to be exhibited.

That's right, this year I raised $2168.33 ... and I couldn't have done it without them.

The 2010 AIDS Walk for Life was tremendously successful; more walkers, more awareness, and ultimately more money raised with over $100,000 going to HIV Edmonton.

The World's Greatest Erotic of Today - Volume 4

So the jury has made its decision and for the third consecutive year, one of my photos has been selected as one of the 200 images to be published in The World's Greatest Erotic Art of Today - Volume 4. Once again, I am encouraged to receive a nod from the 1187 images that were entered in the competition however I am unsure as to whether I will enter more than the one print in the actual exhibition as none of my artwork has ever sold as part of The ARTundressed Tour. Something to ponder.

Smoke gets in your eyes

The smoke of the British Columbia forest fires being blown east across the Rocky Mountains into the Edmonton area today created the most incredible light and an otherworldly effect for photos. Here's a few photos I shot at the provincial Legislature Grounds.
