Viva La Revolucion!

 

Because of my model, Mauricio Rossi, being friends with the owner and manager of La Revolucion Sportsbar in Puerto Vallarta, we ended up doing a subsequent shoot the day after our calendar shoot.  

We shot at the actual restaurant/bar and also enlisted one of the waitresses, Fabiola, who was stunning.  

The shoot was envisioned to be a traditional take on the Mexican way of life -- hot sexy boy/hot sexy girl and booze.  I guess when you think about it, it's actually quite a universal axiom.  Anyhow, it was a quick and fun session which I imagine the owners Luis and Antonio will use the images on Facebook and other social media sites.  

If I was creaitng the ad, it would read:

Viva La Revolucion ... where the drinks are ice cold and the crowd is sizzling hot!

Spent part of the day editing photos I shot this past summer.  Jon and PJ are always wonderful to work with, either solo or together, their images are always captivating and incredibly sensual.  Here are a few of the standouts that I worked on today.

I've had the pleasure of working with Hugo before -- we did a shoot several years back in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, but as the years go by, this man continues to get hotter, sexier and sweeter.  So of course, I was delighted to schedule another shoot with him, now that we both live in the same city.  We decided to shoot at Wreck Beach, it was my first visit to the infamous location, and the results exceeded my expectations.  I will definitely be back to do more shoots as there are so many possible locations and I also hope Hugo and I will continue to work together.  Here are a couple of the shots of a wonderful model in a wonderful setting.

Success and Failure at the 2012 Seattle Erotic Arts Festival

I am very happy to report that my "Buck Angel" framed print from the Seattle Erotic Arts Festival has sold. The "(s)he's perfect" is still available. If you are interested in purchasing it or an unframed 8X10, please leave a comment or message and I'll get back to you. 

I'm also disappointed to report that none of my unframed 8X10 prints, which were selected for the Festival Store, managed to reach their final destination. I'm waiting for the organizers to locate them (the prints were received with the framed works).  In the meantime, I am happy to take any orders for those images at the reduced price of $100,  since I have lost out on those sales at the Festival.

Not only is Matty a talented photographer in his own right, but he is a wonderful resource on all things photo related, a great photo companion to go on shoots with, and, as you can see by this image, a brilliant collaborator.

Seattle Erotic Arts Festival 2012

Received word from the jury today about this year's Seattle Erotic Arts Festival. Here is their response:

Thank you for submitting your art for consideration.

We are delighted to inform you that you have been selected to exhibit in the 10th annual Seattle Erotic Art Festival, our biggest and best year yet. We anticipate over 10,000 attendees from June 16-24, 2012 at Fremont Studios.

Your work was among over 200 pieces chosen from about 2,000 submissions received from over 500 artists. This year we received more art submissions than ever before and competition was considerable; only about 10% of the art submitted was accepted.

Congratulations!

Especially pleased that the jury didn't only select one but two pieces.
